No outrageous flames, no half assed flat black or primer paint job, vintage style rims and tires, a hand painted racing number. This is the style of hot rod I like. Anyone have any wallpaper grade (utterly massive) images of '32 or similar era fords I could use as a new background?

Fuckin' boom, Bandit! My stash of really good pre-war stuff is on an old, dead computer, but I'll try to find the highlights on the internet.

Salt flat racers > "traditional" hot rods 100% of the time.

That is stunning.

If I post it theoretically it will fix his too.

BTW: Kinja doesn't like images posted directly from the google image page. It only likes to post images that appear after you click "show original"

The name of this one is "Perfect Coupe" and, well, who am I to argue?

I just realized that I've violated everything you asked for in this thread:
- Everything I've posted has been a Model A
- None of them are wallpaper grade
- And I blew your thread the fuck up
Sorry dude.

Do you see the care I give. There is none. Thanks for all the posts. All the cars you posted were beautiful, I don't know the difference between those early fords (everything looks like a model A to me), can't say much about wallpaper quality but I did use that white 105a car photo even though it is a tad small.

Nice. Anybody know what Vic is for? I've seen it on other old rods.

This car was Vic Edelbrocks car.

I'm trying to think of how to tell you the difference, and I honestly can't verbalize it. Model As are just a little bit smaller and slimmer and more square in places than a '32, but there are just a lot of little differences that I couldn't actually tell you what they are other than "I know it when I see it". And parts get shared and spliced and moved and modified in all of these so much that it's tough to tell.
Perhaps a viewing of stock examples will make things easier.

Yeah, I know what you are pointing at. The doghouse area of the 30 is a lot more boxy than the 32 (of course that could just be the grille). It also looks like the 32 i a bit more "flowey" over the rest of the car.
